Associate Attorney – Tribal Law & Civil Litigation – Remote Position
Galanda Broadman, PLLC seeks to hire an experienced associate devoted to fighting for Tribal sovereignty and Indigenous rights. This remote-work position will provide general civil legal representation to our Tribal nation clients and their economic enterprises, and litigate on behalf of Tribal interests in Tribal, state, and federal courts.
Strong applicants will have a demonstrated commitment to representing Indigenous interests, and at least five to seven years of experience practicing law and/or clerking. Strong applicants with as few as three to five years of experience practicing law and/or clerking are also encouraged to apply.
A successful applicant will possess exceptional legal writing and research skills, strong oral advocacy, sound judgment, and rigorous ethics. We value critical and creative thinking, tenacity, integrity, and a genuine commitment to serving Indigenous communities and people.
While this is not solely a litigation position, an applicant must also have experience with motion and civil rules practice, if not trial experience, and the ability to self-direct and work remotely.
Applicants must be licensed in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Arizona, or be willing to become licensed in one or more of those jurisdictions within one year of employment.
Salary: $140,000 to $180,000, depending on experience, plus benefits and qualification for discretionary bonus compensation.
